Hypsos in Hong Kong successfully fabricated and installed an exciting and rewarding interactive brand experience for one of the most famous brands in the world in Macau, China.
Hypsos worked closely with the client every step of the way to ensure that this world-class installation matched their expectations. The Manchester United Experience is a prime example of our team approach. Working with designer MET Studio, the Manchester United Football Club, and the client, we delivered a memorable visitor experience featuring exciting interactive activities and engaging multimedia. The experience mixes intriguing artifacts, top-notch interactive football skills testing, and heart-thumping multimedia, which combine to make a truly memorable tribute, not just to Manchester United, but to the entire game of football.
Production and installation of fit-out elements, designed by MET Studio, at the visitor centre of Saudi Aramco in Saudi Arabia.
Elements include a new reception desk, a point of information and huge flower boxes that form a natural boundary for several areas. Most striking
element is the canopy which stands out due to its special design and bright orange colour.
Johnson & Johnson Pavilion at the Beijing Olympics
Johnson & Johnson, working with Thinc Design and Urban A&O, wanted to create a highly interactive and contemporary sponsor pavilion for the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
Hypsos was responsible for delivering the complete pavilion located on the Olympic Green. The scope of the project included construction of the pavilion, interior and exhibition fit-out, multimedia installation and programming, and extensive landscaping with signature bamboo and water features. The total area of the three-storey pavilion with gardens was 5000 m2.
The Exhibition and VIP areas reflected the Johnson & Johnson mission statement “Caring for the world, one person at a time”. The exhibition introduced visitors to the world of Johnson & Johnson and focused on their active role in health care in China. A highlight of the exhibition was the installation of four Terracotta Warriors and artifacts on loan from the Xian Museum of Qin Terra-Cotta Figures. An engaging film showed the company’s important role in protecting and preserving these unique National Heritage relics.
Heineken The City Amsterdam
When “Heineken The City” on Amsterdam’s historic Rembrandt Square opened its doors in 2008, the notion of brand experience was redefined. Primarily known as a brewer of premium beer, Heineken burst into the marketplace with an expansive new concept that encompassed a lifestyle complete with fashion and branded retail, music, travel and of course, beer.
Designed by the Tjep agency, the 550 m2 interior of the experience screams modern in contrast to the staid but classic brick exterior. Hypsos stepped up to the challenge and provided overall project management, did the complete interior fit out, managed multimedia production and hardware, featuring talking mirrors and 3D TV monitors, and created interactive displays, including an “Ice Wall”.
The experience includes a 3-storey beer refrigerator, themed fashion merchandise and a ticket and travel section.
The Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision – Media Experience
Hypsos, in conjunction with Northern Light and Swynk, designed and built this 4000 m2 Media Experience exhibition for the Institute.
There are 15 thematic areas and visitors can use a unique RFID ring to log in, activate exhibits and relive their experience later over the Internet. Other visitor experiences include a look at how media influences our daily lives and an hourly “Media Panorama”, which at 42 metres wide, is shown on one of the largest projection screens in Europe.
Hypsos developed a multimedia intensive visitor centre for the headquarters of the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department. EMSD is the Hong Kong Government department responsible for regulation of utilities, mechanical and railway safety, and development and implementation of energy efficiency strategies.
Hypsos developed rich descriptive content about EMSD’s work, past, present and future. The history of the department and its important role in the growth of Hong Kong into a world-class city is presented in engaging group multimedia activities. Relevant interactive exhibits illustrate energy efficiency and conservation topics. Eye-catching visual elements, attractive graphics and professionally executed models create a pleasant sense of depth for the entire experience.
Hypsos was responsible for content development, design, AV production, exhibit fabrication, and exhibit and AV hardware installation for the entire project.
