What are you going to do?

As an interior builder/carpenter you take care of the (partial) execution of a medium-sized interior project to the realization of complex parts of a museum. You do this both in the preparation in the workshop, and the assembly on location. Travel can be a part of this.

What does your day look like?

You start your day with a smile because you can start a beautiful project again.  After a kick-off or receiveand receive your working drawings, you know better than anyone what to do.

You are of course familiar with all production machines and a CNC machine has no secrets for you.

Once the product is ready, it is really yours.

You have the option to go to location at home or abroad to assemble what you have made yourself.

Who are you?

  • You are an experienced interior builder with, for example, the MBO training furniture maker / (ship) interior builder
  • You have a good command of the Dutch and preferably also the English language
  • You can read drawing
  • You have experience with a CNC frees.
  • You use an organized and structured way of working
  • You continue to work until the project is finished and the customer is satisfied!
  • You are willing to help realize projects at home and abroad
  • You are preferably in possession of a B (or BE) driver’s license.

Expert in technical design and quality

(Design) Engineer

 We are looking for an Engineer to create solutions within the beautiful and challenging projects that we have within Hypsos.

What are you going to do?

As an engineer you take care of the technical design and the technical quality of the execution of our projects. You are part of a project team in which you work together with a project manager, a calculator, a project coordinator and a draftsman /work planner.

You are the most important advisor to the project manager with regard to the realization of projects.

In the team and in conversation with the customers and designers, you give advice and proactively come up with solutions for project challenges. The proposal for the work order for the engineering, procurement, execution and installation of the parts of the project comes from you. In addition, you support in making budgets and you feed and monitor purchasing in the technical field. The transfer to the work preparation is part of your work and during production and assembly you test the quality and take care of the workshop delivery.

Who are you?

You are a driven Engineer who provides creative solutions for the technical challenges within our appealing projects. You contribute to project success and happy customers.

Through your listening skills and empathy, you know how to convert the customer’s wishes into a Program of Requirements. In your role you speak the language of designers and you know how to translate their wishes into concrete products and services, and you keep your finger on the pulse of the progress and quality of the project and ensure that the project is successfully delivered. Of course you have passion for the profession and you do this with conviction and pleasure!

You are analytical and creative. You like to work together in a team and have passion for your profession. You have good communication skills and easily switch between the Dutch and English language. You work with pleasure and a smile at Hypsos and know how to pass that on to others.

What do you bring?

  • A completed HBO/WO degree in industrial design engineering, mechanical engineering or similar;
  • 3 – 5 years of relevant work experience;
  • Excellent command of the Dutch and English language, knowlegde of the German language is a plus;

Project Manager

Hypsos is a leading company for providing temporary and permanent exhibitions and interior decorations in the worldwide museums and science center industry. We deliver ready-made solutions to government clients, among others, in close cooperation with international design agencies that create spaces tailored to the target group.

We realize complete visitor journeys of physical exhibitions through digital interactive possibilities based on advanced media technologies.

In the role you are responsible for temporary exhibitions and stand construction. We work on international projects. A commercial attitude and customer service mentality combined with excellent leadership and project management skills are a prerequisite for successfully fulfilling this role.

Who are you?

  • You have a Technical education, at least HBO /WO level;
  • You have 5 years of experience in exhibition or stand construction;
  • You are a born project leader with natural leadership skills;
  • As a project manager you manage the entire project workflow and supply chain; from design development through off-site production phases to smooth installation and on-site deployment.

In addition, you have the following properties:

As team leader (cooperating foreman) you will take care of the (partial) execution of a medium-sized interior project up to the realisation of complex parts of a museum. You will do this both in the preparation in the workshop and during assembly on location. In this you manage a team that varies from 2 to 8 persons and you also carry out part of the production. On location, you are the contact person for parties hired by Hypsos and often also, together with the Project Manager, the face of Hypsos to the customer.

  • Start: reading up on the project, thinking along with the draughtsman, making sawing sheets, dividing the work within your team.
  • Production: keeping track of the progress and giving feedback to the Project Manager, making sure the colleagues in your team can continue with their work, taking care of the quality and carrying out part of the production themselves.
  • Assembly: ensuring that items are properly packed and prepared for transport. Assembling/building on location together with your team. Being the contact point for parties hired by Hypsos.
  • Ensuring good cooperation and a positive atmosphere on location.
  • Completion: making a short report of the (de)assembly and discussing this with the Project Manager.
