The experience
Visitors took a journey through the history of Indonesia, with the cultural diversity of the archipelago as the common thread. A colorful, dynamic museum exhibition emerged in the monumental space of De Nieuwe Kerk.

Our job
Hypsos handled the technical design, production, and installation within a timeframe of eight weeks. The team realized, among other things, lighting, display cases, and walls for the complete museum installation.
The history and cultural diversity of Indonesia.
The Great Indonesia Exhibition brought together the history and cultural diversity of Indonesia in De Nieuwe Kerk Amsterdam. The ambition: to create a rich museum experience in a monumental space, where scale, color, and content reinforce one another. Hypsos translated this into a technically feasible installation featuring lighting, display cases, and walls. The realization demanded speed and precision: design, production, and installation took place within eight weeks during the summer.
The height and spatial scale of De Nieuwe Kerk called for a well-thought-out approach. Therefore, display cases reaching up to four meters high were installed, so that visitors were literally enveloped by the story. The result is a colorful and dynamic exhibition where technology, craftsmanship, and visitor experience come together.
