The experience
Visitors step into the world of Irish thoroughbred racing: from breeding, training and racing heritage to hands-on interactives, beating replica hearts, historic racing attire, saddle displays and The Big Race on eight mechanical horses.

Hypsos acted as main contractor and production partner, working with DMW Creative, HWVA and MCW to realise the physical exhibition, set-dressing and integrated visitor experience.

Step into the world of Irish thoroughbred racing
The Irish Racehorse Experience at Irish National Stud & Gardens brings the story of Ireland’s thoroughbred industry to life as a layered, high-quality visitor experience. Instead of a traditional horse museum, visitors enter a crafted journey through breeding, training, heritage and race day excitement. The atmosphere is warm and tactile, with a refined rural character: historic racing clothing, saddle displays, information columns, views towards the paddocks and hands-on moments that make the power of the thoroughbred physically tangible.
Visitors use a tablet to buy, name and train a virtual yearling, making choices about nutrition, trainers, routines, jockey and silks. Along the route, they meet digital industry characters, interact with horse biomechanics, feel beating replica hearts and build their knowledge.
As main contractor and production partner, Hypsos helped turn a complex mix of media, setworks, interactives and physical storytelling into a seamless experience
