Our job
Hypsos realised the interior experience for the Shimano Experience Center, bringing product presentation, interactive media, hospitality and the three Shimano worlds of cycling, fishing and rowing together in one permanent environment.
Shimano: Experience center built to move you
Shimano created the Experience Center in Valkenburg to make the enjoyment of cycling, fishing and rowing tangible. Opened on 12 April 2019 by Mr Shimano himself, the permanent destination combines product discovery with practical experience in one of the Netherlands’ best-known cycling regions.
Hypsos worked for months on the interior fit-out, building the experience down to the smallest detail according to the design by FutureBrand UXUS. Clean white displays, Shimano blue accents and interactive media create a precise, technical world. Timber, sculptural forms and a circular hospitality bar add warmth and bring people together.
Bright presentation zones and angular plinths give bicycles, fishing equipment, components and sportswear a crisp, performance-led setting. Video, simulators and listening stations turn innovation into something visitors can explore for themselves.
The result is a permanent brand experience where technical precision and relaxed hospitality work side by side: turning Shimano innovation into action.
