Universally Recognizable: Miffy, the beloved fictional character crafted by Dick Bruna, captivates hearts worldwide, spanning across generations. Our Interiors & Retail team has been entrusted by Mercis, the custodians of Miffy's rights, with the task of conceptualizing and bringing to life a distinctive Miffy-branded store at Leidschendam's Westfield Mall. Nestled within this bustling hub, the envisioned Miffy store promised to be a captivating attraction for tourists, offering an unforgettable experience imbued with the charm of this iconic character.
Collaborating closely with our esteemed partner studio, Su Design Us, the Hypsos Retail Interiors & Brand Environments team meticulously curated elements from Miffy's literary universe, seamlessly weaving them into the fabric of the store to evoke a sense of familiarity and brand identity. Through the deliberate design choice of a clean, luminous ambiance, we aimed to spotlight the star of the show: Miffy herself. Her vibrant hues serve as a striking contrast, ensuring her presence shines brightly throughout the store, captivating visitors with her timeless charm.
This resulted in an inviting brand store, based at the Central Plaza of the Mall, amongst other top international brands where tourists and locals will pop in to visit one of The Netherlands most beloved exports.
