Early Human Behaviour
Step into the shoes of a researcher, explore ancient artifacts and immerse yourself in the world of archaeology. In the exhibition "Early Human Behaviour," you can trace the SapienCE team's interdisciplinary journey of 35 years, from the excavation of Blombos Cave in South Africa to the conducted research and its outcomes. The researchers offer a glimpse into the past, enabling us to rediscover the origins of human history. The exhibition has been created in collaboration between the University Museum in Bergen and SapienCE.
Large lightboxes display enlarged photos of the excavations conducted. The exhibition features rare artifacts displayed in awe-inspiring exhibits and engages visitors with interactive displays that bring the past to life. Visitors can create their own necklaces and spearheads. Another highlight is the painting of archeological replicas. For this activity, we've treated the replicas with a coating so that they can be wiped clean after painting.
Together with Opera, we submitted a bid for the tender and have been selected to carry out this exciting project. Opera took on the Design and Hypsos was the main contracter and responsible for the Technical design and the installation and build.
