Greenhouse at Floriade 2022
Floriade Expo 2022 is the World’s horticultural exhibition, staged in Almere from April 14th to October 9th, 2022. Growing Green Cities is the theme of this edition. Floriade 2022 inspires all visitors to live a greener and healthier lifestyle. The Expo offers 40 inspiring country presentations and consists of permanent elements and expo-specific displays. All of these contribute perfectly to the Floriade’s four sub-themes: Greening the City, Feeding the City, Healthy’ing the City, and Energizing the City. The Floriade 2022 celebrates green and sustainable technology, useable on micro and macro scales.
One of the main features of the exhibition and prominently positioned at the entrance to the Floriade is the Greenhouse.
The GreenHouse is a major attraction to this international horticultural expo, where the latest innovations are showcased. Within this purpose build Greenhouse, covering nearly 15,000m², you can experience the latest developments firsthand. HYPSOS executed the entire fit-out of the Greenhouse.
On behalf of the clients Floriade BV and Arcadis, our Scope of Work included the Quantity Surveying of the proposed preliminary design and creating a Bill of Quantities to the specifications set out by the Floriade.
Greenhouse fit-out Almere
HYPSOS worked closely with V8 architects as they designed the Greenhouse complex. Arcadis defined the scope to ensure that all aspects required met their expectations. This Greenhouse fit-out has been one of the most sustainable projects we have executed. We implemented natural (untreated) materials for the structural elements, wood and steel components, and rental items to ensure the material will return to the supply chain after dismantling.
HYPSOS completed this unique and fast-tracked interior fit-out project on time in only four months from contract to hand over, within budget and to requirements.
