In a renovated airport hangar, visitors discover The Ellinikon as a future smart city on the Athenian Riviera. Five thematic zones, interactive installations, and immersive storytelling connect heritage, nature, sustainability, smart living, and seaside life.

Our job
Hypsos realized the experience centre together with Media.Monks via a design-and-build contract: creation, engineering, production, programming, and installation. The ambition was clear: to make a complex urban master plan understandable, personal, and tangible for residents, visitors, and investors. Media.Monks developed the creative direction, spatial design, content, and integrated production.
Hypsos brought it to life during the physical realization: engineering, production, programming, installation, and experience construction.

The Ellinikon is transforming the site of the former Athens International Airport into a new, green smart city on the Athenian Riviera. The experience center makes that future tangible already. Not as a standalone presentation, but as a carefully constructed spatial experience in which materials, technology, and finishes support the ambition of the master plan.
Visitors travel through five zones, tracing the past, present, and future: from interactive scale models and digital nature experiences to XR rides, smart living, and panoramic vistas. The realization demanded exceptional precision. Every surface, detail, and interface had to be right: physically strong, technically reliable, and befitting the premium look and feel of The Ellinikon.
Together with Media.Monks, Hypsos brought the experience to life through engineering, production, programming, installation, and experience construction. The result is a high-quality piece of craftsmanship in which digital storytelling and tangible materiality form a unified whole.
